SLHINet is being offered to help groups connect online about their work in improving the health of Arizona communities. The site gives its users the opportunity to establish their group online quickly and easily.
In approximately 20 minutes, a presence can be created that includes group email (or “listserv”), an online library, a blog, an online notepad (or “wiki”) and online forum software. There is no cost to users – St. Luke’s Health Initiatives provides funding, hosting and general system support.
Some communities already using SLHINet:
- Arizona CAN! – working toward solutions that improve health coverage and access to care.
- Health in a New Key – developing communities using strength-based principles and practices.
- HNK Consultants – providing strength-based technical assistance.
- Resources and Resilience – on maximizing community/nonprofit resources.
- The Conative Collaborative – helping children and adolescents with ADD/ADHD symptoms connect to individually appropriate, self-managed solutions.
The practice of connecting and participating helps those who are involved to change, discover new assets and create new possibilities. As a complement to our current person-to-person connections, small group meetings and larger conferences, SLHINet offers an opportunity to connect, deepen, build and expand.
It can be what we make it. SLHINet is new. Register today, then consider how SLHINet can work for you.
